Keys to Stretching the right way

Warm up the muscle before you stretch. Breathe during the stretch and stay relaxed to insure that the muscle won’t fight against the stretch. Have patience and use minimum force to get the most out of the stretch. Forcing the muscle into the stretch can damage fibers, making the muscle tighter over time. Use a longer duration (60-90sec) and let the time do the work of the stretch.
